Cynthia Nixon, aka, Ada Brook Forte, of “The Gilded Age” aka, Miranda Hobbes of “Sex and the City”,  invites you to join her at the Breakers in Newport Rhode Island, Sunday, April 26th at 5:30P.M . It will be an unforgettable evening of entertainment and wonder.

The Emmy, Tony and Grammy winner will be in conversation with Brian Scott-Smith the host of WSHU’s ‘Morning Edition’. Fans of the NPR radio show will be familiar with Scott-Smith’s charming BBC style of award winning journalism. The Brit who now calls America home is ready to ‘spill-the-tea‘ with Ms. Nixon about her career that began on Broadway in 1980 and continues to pick-up steam like a gilded age railroad car.

This is a rare opportunity to meet Ms.Nixon in such a grand setting.   The cast of HBO’s period-drama of ambition, greed and social power-plays is currently in-production around many of Newport’s ‘Summer Cottages’.

Last year, as season three of “The Gilded Age’ ended Ada Brooke Forte was at a crossroad in life, transitioning from a pampered pet into a woman of agency.

Lord Julian Fellowes, creator and producer of the hugely successful series, relies on Nixon’s talents to be a plot-line protagonist, transforming timid Mrs. Forte into an tenacious driver of social change in the late 19th-century.

A perfect marriage of professional partners, Lord Fellowes and Cynthia Nixon are allegorical story-tellers. Together, in “The Gilded Age” they simmer nuanced plot-lines into a complex brew of cultural mile-markers. Masterfully, these tropes of American history can be read as social tea leaves in a cautionary tale of modern times.

For the hottest tea, Sunday night’s conversation at The Breakers, ( the Vanderbilt’s Summer cottage, ) is THE pre-season place to be.

Tickets are selling FAST! Don’t miss this fabulously fun opportunity.
