White House Rose Garden ( 5/7//2018 STP News)
For green-thumbers around the world all good things begin in a garden.
The sentiment holds true for President’s and Kings alike.
This afternoon, the President and First Lady of the United States, Donald and Melania Trump, welcome King Charles III and Queen Camilla of The United Kingdom, to see a new addition to the White House South Lawn. It’s not a ballroom, it’s a bee-hive.

The new hive, designed as a replica of the White House will add two new colonies to the hive already established near the White House kitchen garden.

Honey cultivated from the hive is used in White House tea, salad dressings and desserts. The White House also sends the sweet treat to local food pantries and uses jars of South Lawn honey as official gifts from the President and First Lady. Known for it’s bright color, the honey has hints of basswood and citrus flavors.
