548 Bellevue Ave will be a hive of activity from June 19-21. Friday through Sunday the Gilded Age mansion will be the floral centerpiece of one of our country’s premier petal-perfect events.
Rosecliff’s glamour sets the stage for the 30th anniversary of the Summer Colony’s opulent Flower Show. This year’s dream-theme is “Pearls of Newport.” The largest ballroom in town will be filled with flowers in ‘conversation’ with the cultured gem traditionally gifted in celebration of a tri-decade occasion.
Riffing on the theme, artisans will marry Newport’s elegant coastal vibe with pearlescense. In this setting ‘Pearls’ are metaphors for the women who shaped Newport’s style. Collectively, the Pearl-Girls elevated the aesthetics of culture, fashion and jewelry. There’s no telling how the timeless symbol of resilience and beauty will be interpreted by stringing flowers together with pearls of wisdom, but the eclectic displays are sure to be wow-worthy.

Throughout the Flower Show garden gurus will offer special presentations. Sarah Boynton, Margaret Shaw, Jill Brooke, Elizabeth Brown, and Jana Milbocker will discuss horticultural hot-topics seeding ideas to help you DIY; design arrangements, entertain outside, plan cutting gardens, imagine formal landscapes as well as explore the therapeutic benefits of gardening.
Tickets are $45.00 for non Newport Mansion Members, $35.00 for Members.
