The Hatch Shell on the Charles River
The Hatch Shell on the Charles River is part of a very special place. Designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted, the neighborhood icon has been linking the environment to city-life in exceptionally fun ways since the 1800’s. It’s one part of seven parks known as Boston’s 1,100 acre Emerald Necklace.

This riverside park is favorite hang-out for Green Monsters; Wally and Tessie. On Saturday, August 23rd the Monsters will be part of a team transforming the Hatch Shell into a virtual ball park. They’ll help simulcast the game between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees on a 16 X 30′ foot video-screen. The first pitch will be live from New York at 1:05!
