“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere we go.”

STP’s Christmas Tree
Delights of lights, yummy things and all kinds of sentimental memories wrap the Christmas season in wonder. No surprise so many iconic songs have been written about this special time of year. The melodies and lyrics tie the simplest and most grand celebrations to the story of our lives.
Christmas music is one of our cultural bonds. It’s contributions time-stamp our social consciousness and have the power to be transportive. You can find yourself lost in a grocery list, on your third cup of high-test espresso, searching for that one ‘gotta-get-it’ ingredient to make the family’s holiday fav when the spice aisle fades into a childhood memory and suddenly you’re headed ‘home for the holidays’.

No matter your age when you hear your favorite Christmas song it surrounds you with “remember when~ing.” You may smile, you may cry, but ya gotta hear that song or it’s just not Christmas-time yet.
STP asked a few fabulous spin-doctors what songs make their Christmas play-list sound special. The list is eclectic with plenty of familiar songs and some delicious deep cuts. It’s funny, spiritual and filled with warmth. Some classics may surprise you, some will delight you. They’re all gifts of the season, as are these extra generous guest contributors.
According to these gifted musicologists the holiday hit-list is the best ‘wrap’ music to fill hours with tidings of great joy.
