When fans of baseball begin the countdown to Opening Day it’s a rite of Spring with a promise of Summer in Beantown. Finally, we have only one more sleep until we hear the call to ‘Play Ball’ echo throughout Kenmore Square and across Fenway, America’s Oldest Ball Park.

Kenmore Square, Boston
Friday, April 4th, the Boston Red Sox rocket into their 125th home-season against the St. Louis Cardinals at 2:10 p.m.
Gates open at 12:10, two hours before pre-game ceremonies begin in Red Sox Nation. It’s suggested fans be in their seats no later than 1:30 when the Sox and Cards are introduced along the baseline.
Then, Colors will be presented and the “Treble All-Stars” from the Boston Arts Academy will perform the National Anthem. At the conclusion of the “Star-Spangled Banner”, two F-35’s and one KC-46 Air Refueling Wing will fill the sky with thunder.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the AL Championship win, members of the 1975 team will be welcomed back to the field. A tribute to the late Hall of Famer, Luis Tiant aka our beloved El Tiante, will be part of the day that leads the Home-Town team to dreams of post season October ball.
Throughout April special events are planned. That means there’ll be something fun for everyone at Fenway this Spring. The Park will host extra-special nights for fans of; Minecraft movies, Bruins, Grateful Dead, Hello Kitty, and Peanuts. Lovers of Good ol’ Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy and friends should know the Peanuts characters are celebrating their 75th anniversary this season.
Concession stands are also ready for action! Along with forever classic popcorn, hot-dogs, pizza’s and cokes, Chef Ron Abell has added a Fenway Soup Shack, a PIG MAC sandwich made with pulled pork, mac N’cheese with bacon on sourdough bread and gluten friendly options across the Park.

Red Sox Chef Ron Abell explains the concession stand ” line-up” of all-stars.
