The Charles River Conservancy is launching their first “Graffiti-Artist-in Residence Program“. This opportunity is a mash-up of other community initiatives that include; Public Art Forums, Social Justice Skate Jams and various programs informed by public art consultants.
Even before the Lynch-Family Skate Park opened in 2016, more than 200 skate enthusiasts, of various backgrounds, brainstormed on architectural designs, artistic creations and lighting systems to extended park usage and FUN. Collaboration is needed again to shape a vision reflecting the changing needs and creativity of this special skate-park community.
Thursday, October 3rd from 4-7 The Lynch Family Skate Park rolls into “Free Walls Fantasy//Paint //Imaginate! ”
The project encourages skaters, artists, art administrators, and community members with passion for public art to mingle together while learning more about the skate park “Imaginate” process. Food and beverages will be available.
The public is invited to become Founding Members of the Skate Board Advisory Group to ensure success in and around the bowls, curbs and ramps. In support of the “Graffitti-Artist-In-Residence Program” the Charles River Conservancy seeks participation from a range of voices.
