It’s easy to love Fall gardens. The bones of every Eden are still pristine but the sizzle of summer color has turned into jewel-tones. The same can be said of the beautiful gardens of the White House.
At 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, historic architecture adds a grand air to the garden-settings filled with history and the crisp snap of the season.
On Saturday October 8th, and Sunday October 9th, The White House gates will be open to the public from 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM for Fall garden Tours. This is a wonderful opportunity to walk in a beautiful garden planted with the stories of American history.
Tours of the South Grounds and White House Gardens that includes the Children’s Garden are free, however a ticket is required for all attendees, including little children.
Beginning at 8:30 AM on both Saturday and Sunday, The National Park Service (NPS) will be distributing free, timed tickets outside the White House Visitors Center located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Tickets will be distributed, one per person, on a first-come, first served basis.
DC’s weekend weather forecast is ideal for a White House garden stroll. With temperatures ranging between 47 and 64 degrees, it will be a perfect time to enjoy history and share the American spirit. Pundents say “Eden was a partisan free zone!”
