In honor of Veteran’s Day, STP~News celebrates the expansion of HomeBase in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The National Center of Excellence is the first and largest private sector clinic in America dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war. To date, over 40 thousand Veterans, Service Members, and their Families from all 50 States and 9 countries have received lifesaving care through HomeBase services.

Since 2009, with support from the Red Sox Foundation, and scholarship from care-providers at Mass General / Brigham Hospitals, HomeBase has been synching clinical-research with innovative clinical-care. Irrespective of discharge status, the state-of-the-art resource-facility promotes the health and well-being of Veterans and their Families. Rehabilitation programs integrate novel supportive experiences through fitness and mind-body wellness programs that include art, physical and emotional therapies. HomeBase CEO Retired Brigadier General Jack Hammond says “there’s reason to feel optimistic about caring for our Veterans with even the most complex injuries.”
