Jenni Stuart is a classically trained goldsmith with a Bachelor’s degree from New York’s prestigious Pratt Institute. Polished by respect for timeless art-forms she couples modern engineering with her creative spirit. A private consultation with the artisan and her design-partner, Kelsey Smith, is an investment of time that shines a new light on each bespoke piece.

Exposed brick adds history to the work-place atmosphere; whimsical art and a “Diamond-Buffet Bar conjure relaxed spirits.
The intimate space is transformative. It has the power to translate sentiment into wearable art.

Whether the process includes reimagining an heirloom or creating an entirely new treasure, Jenni and her band of rock-stars consider each custom design a facet of your life story.

Trustworthy on-site productions
A composite of seemingly random facts about Jenni explains her professional vibe. The self-described social-misfit said as a kid her pastime was to watch Bob Ross’ ‘Joy of Painting‘ while chowing-down on tuna sandwiches with her dad. For them, if the tuna on toasted white bread wasn’t garnished with a slice of cucumber ~ lunch lost it’s joy. Jenni explains, ‘perfection is in the details!’
After paying her dues by selling kids clothes in Brooklyn and working for a time with other professionals Jenni was ready to launch her own business. She met customers on-line and at Gulu-Gulu Café, her favorite Salem coffee shop. Carrying sketches and three stones at-a-time to ‘her corner office’ was enough to establish the jeweler’s solid-gold reputation. Since opening her first shop in 2020 business has been booming and continues to grow.

Gulu-Gulu Café preceeded 2 Salem store fronts and 12 employees. Jenni says ” I feel I’ve been struck by lightening 12 times”
Kelsey Smith is someone Jenni calls a ‘lightening strike’ hire. “She’s a kindred design spirit.” Working in concert, they invest in the emotional intentions of their customers. Open to new ideas of color, functionality and value the collaborators brainstorm with laptops, anvils and mini-blow-torches to realize the dreams of others.
Surrounded by precious metals, gems of every shade, shape and size when an old idea marries a new design the Front Street boutique rocks all the way to the cobblestones. It’s no wonder the designers say if the store had a walk-on song it would be “New Light” by hit-maker John Mayer.
They invite you to experience shopping for Fine Jewelry at Jenni Stuart’s and discover why old box-stores can’t compete with the new light in their magical designs.
